Last night was the choir’s third and final festive performance of 2014. We sang in West Quay next to Santa’s Grotto and brought a bit of a capella magic to the place. Well done all for the truly uplifting rendition of the Hallelujah Chorus.
Saturday’s free lunchtime concert at Southampton City Art Gallery was pretty packed. The Mayor loved it. Everyone loved it! We collected £168 for the Rainbow Project and Southampton Samaritians. Rosie Marshall gave a splendid rendition of Tom Lehrer’s ‘Christmas Carol’, and the Daisy Chains (Ella, Rowan and Lottie) entertained us with ukeleles and gorgeous harmonies.
The Nuffield Kitchen was the choir’s second performance of the day. A more intimate venue, smaller audience, and very appreciative.
Look forward to singing with many of you again in the new year. Now I’m off for a lie down…!
